Evening of Day 4

I have to tell all of you who read my blog earlier that tonight I fixed two dinners. I had 1/2 Kangaroo Whole Wheat Pocket Pita with mixed green vegetables in it (no salt or oil or butter) and a few strips of chicken. I also had a small Hawaiian papaya. I fixed my children their favorite Cincinnati Skyline Chili. And guewhat? They wanted my dinner. My youngest abandoned her beloved "Skyline" and is eating her 2nd helping of chicken and vegies in a pita. This happened the last time and I completely forgot about it. My older daughter who is away at college completely picked up my diet and now asks me to send her care packages of Annie Chun's Sprouted Brown Rice and Alvarado Street Bread and Granola. She is working to continue what we did together during the first 85. As I finish my little "after thought post" I am fixing a pita, chicken and vegetables for my 17 year old. She has just tossed her Skyline chili out. Now there is nothing really wrong with SkylineChili -- it has (the way I learned to make it) -- fresh tomatoes, and lean meat, but it is served on noodles and is topped with cheese and oyster crackers, so it is a very hearty meal.I forgot about what happens to the kids when I am just quietly on track. As soon as I post I am going to find a recipe for crock pot oatmeal and make some to be ready in the morning, so that we can eat before we have to get in the car. Most of us like oatmeal.

  1. Hi I just found your blog. I am in a weight loss battle. I hate it I hate being fat I hate that I stuff my face with the wrong foods. I know what I should eat when I should eat and how much I should eat so why on earth do I not obey the rules. Having said that i did loose 2lb this last week. Thats 17 1/2lb since January pathetic but better off than on.

  2. Good luck with the Hot 100 Challenge. Sounds like your busy feeding a household. I find the whole meal time very challenging.
